First things First - Trust

Trust serves as the foundational element in establishing meaningful relationships, whether it's within an elevator pitch, casual conversations, sales transactions, or daily personal/official interactions. As individuals, we naturally seek common ground to cultivate trust. However, when trust is solely based on external factors such as nationality, language, religion, or appearance, it remains superficial. This is particularly evident when we venture beyond our familiar surroundings, whether it be our hometown or country.

Conversely, when trust is rooted in intrinsic human qualities like courage, honesty, humility, and respect, it holds greater longevity. Despite external differences, we begin to value the essence of human character. Creating a safe environment is essential for trust to flourish. Unfortunately, relying on power dynamics, where one has power over another, proves detrimental. While it may yield short-term gains in tactical execution, sustained practice of such dynamics can develop toxic habits that impact our well-being and health.

One thing that we need to remember is our interactions leave lasting footprints and impressions in this world. The more authentic our intentions, the easier it becomes to build trust. It is impossible to sustain pretense throughout every interaction from morning until bedtime, and its artificiality becomes apparent.

Trust is a valuable asset that requires cultivation and should be based on meaningful human qualities. Competition and fear can hinder the development of trust in relationships be it personal or professional. When individuals perceive each other as competitors, their focus shifts towards self-preservation, winning, proving to gain an advantage over others.

Similarly, Speed is another significant factor that could erode trust quickly. With speed, chances of oversight, hasty decisions increases. In certain environments where speed is inevitable, trust could be preserved by enhancing transparent communication along with building a safe environment.
